$\frac{a - c}{x - a} = m$$(x - a) \frac{a - c}{x - a} = m ( x - a)$$a - c = mx - am$$a - c + am = mx$$\frac{a}{m} - \frac{c}{m} + \frac{am}{m} = x$$\frac{a - c}{m} + a = x$
