We can use the equation   [latex]Peroid = \frac{1}{Frequency} [/latex]   to calculate the frequency.
Rearranging this gives us   [latex]Frequency = \frac{1}{Period} [/latex].
So the frequency is [latex] \frac{1}{2.4} [/latex], which equals 0.42 hertz
(to 2 decimal places).
