So this should be common knowledge but i will explain it.
First, what do we do to lose weight? You have to burn more calories then you consume. So if you aren't eating nutritionally you start to gain more calories than you can burn, yady yada, and you probably can't maintain that balanced body composition.
On the flipside if you don't exercise a lot or at all then you can't burn enough calories to maintain a balanced body weight as you start to gain weight.
So in conclusion? Make sure you eat healthy so you get the nutrition that your body needs to actually carry out maintenance and exercise so you can burn off those calories.
