What are the similarities and differences of ice and plant weathering need help !
in ice wedging, water gets into cracks in rocks and freezes. As it turns to ice, it expands. This causes the rock (or other material that the ice is in) to be pushed off.
In plant root growth (that's what its called) the root gets into the cracks (tree roots getting in cracks of sidewalks for example) and expands as well. This also causes the rock (or other material the roots are in) to be pushed off.
Hope this helps!
