subtract 10 from both sides

[latex] \frac{x}{3} = 4[/latex]

multiply each side by 3

[latex]x = 12[/latex]

the "blank" is equal to twelve

the answer is 12 . To confirm this is correct divide 12by 3 and add 10 and you'd get 14:)
